The Enamelling Process

1. The metal, after panel formation, is cleaned of all surface impurities in a degreaser bath.
2. An acid bath is used to etch the metal.
3. After rinsing and neutralizing the metal has a ground coat applied.
4. Firing the ground coat at 830 degrees celsius envelopes the metal in glass.
5. A cover coat spray is applied.
6. Firing at 810 degrees celsius develops the full lustre colour of the cover coat.
For additional colours steps 5 and 6 are repeated.
